Family Federation Mission Support Website

One of our purposes is to support the work of the worldwide movement with certain online resources, in addition to which we are available to be contacted any time with your questions or concerns. We have renamed and revamped the International Headquarters’ English language web site as the FFWPU Mission Support site: www.familyfedihq.org It provides some simple but, we hope, valuable resources for members. These include: 1. True Mother’s recent speeches (and, we hope, an expanding archive of Mother’s earlier messages) 2. True Father’s life in his own words: This is a new series we have just begun, based on a series that ran for several years in Today’s World monthly magazine. We hope to especially help our younger members and newer members read Father’s story in English, but translated from his actual words. This will naturally focus on Father’s early life. We will try to include interesting footnotes. 3. Early Days stories: some of the earliest members tell their stories of the remarkable early decades of our movement. Some of these are drawn from older resources that are no longer available, and this series allows us to put back into circulation content that was printed in books or magazines but then lost to most people. 4. “Questions and Concerns” function: whereby anyone can write and ask a question, and we will try to provide you with an answer, or otherwise we will refer you to someone we think can do so better. 5. Information and announcements about upcoming events or matters of general interest. 6. Best Practices section: The web site’s international news function is being converted into a best practices bulletin. We are asking the regions to send in new strategies, news of successful events or programs, and stories of successful outreach that we can post. An idea being tried in Montreal may work well in Tirana: the Best Practices section is therefore not only a way to publicize the great work that members are doing, but also offers a way to share proven ideas and strategies across the movement. For this to work, we ask you to send in brief “reports” of your ongoing work – but not as news, but as interesting reports of best ideas and activities (of course, this may be similar to a news report, in practical terms). Your report can simply be one or two photographs, plus a paragraph or a page of text – bearing in mind this is for the web site. Of course we will draw the higher leadership’s attention to the reports and translate the best ones into Korean. So please send us information of your pioneering efforts or major successes, whenever you feel it might be helpful for someone to read them. This letter is a personal letter to draw your attention to an initiative that we hope to develop as a useful resource for you and for members in your region. It does not oblige you to contact us or send information about activities – though we hope we will do so. Please also feel free to suggest ways we can improve the web site. We at the Mission Office sends our prayer and hope for you to receive our Heavenly Parent’s guidance and love for your work and for your family.
