Since the beginning of the war, from February 24, we have been involved as a family, parents with children, my sister and friends in several collections announced by the Coordination Center for Assistance and non-profit organizations helping people from Ukraine affected by the war. We are trying daily to prepare material assistance, food, clothes, toys, blankets, packages, medicines, everything necessary for mothers with children who have fled Ukraine due to the war. Several times we carried a full car of material assistance. At first I didn’t feel the need to publish what we were doing because I considered it a small drop in the sea, and I also felt that we should do good, as True Father said, that the most precious gift is the one your friend inconspicuously put in your back pocket…
And I also see around me the efforts of many good people who help and do not take pictures anywhere, and do not expect any praise, just have that good feeling in their hearts and helping their neighbour fills their hearts. Such is the family of our friends, who took the boy from the orphanage a few years ago and now they took a family with two children from Ukraine. So we also help them find and donate what they need. And on the other hand, I know that our lives are to be a testimony of the love of True Parents to people around us, and IRFF is also the work of True Mother, so I am sending a message on her behalf and some photos from our current activities. I would like to thank everyone who helps in any way. Here in Banská Bystrica we have been making collections to help children in orphanages, socially disadvantaged families, people in need… Only a year ago, our janitor, a friendly man, provided us with space for storage.
We know several very good people who also want to help and share what they have, so we can distribute full cars of help and give joy to people. We are going on. This is the Coordination Center for Assistance, where we bring material aid twice a week and there are hundreds of mothers, grandmothers and children waiting for help. Our children Matej, Marietka, Andrej, Eli, Kvetka are happy to help, even giving their own toys, clothes… Andrejko donated two boxes full of medicines as part of medical care for children with cystic fibrosis in Ukraine. A dormitory for 100 people from Ukraine is currently being set up in the gymnasium at his grammar school. Children with teachers have announced a project, a collection of toys and school necessities.
Thanks for everything. We wish you all the best.
